Re-opening of the famous Anna Amalia Bibliothek

The historical library which was destroyed in September 2004 has been reconstructed and renovated and will be re-opened on 24th October 2007.

Highlights in 2008

In the pipeline are an exhibition at the city museum as well as concerts throughout the year. To mention here, the Thuringian Bach Weeks in March, the Bach-Biennale-Weimar in July and the Bach musical "Bach - Ein Schicksal aus Leidenschaft und Liebe" in July and August as well as the Bach-Liszt Organ Competition in September. Numerous special concerts supplement those 2008 highlights.
