Erfurt Attractions
Thuringia's biggest city has one of the best preserved medieval city centres. It is overlooked by the monumental ensemble of the cathedral and St. Severus Church.
Unique is also the 'Krämerbrücke', Europe's longest bridge that is completely lined by houses still inhabited by Erfurt residents.
Other sights of this historic city are the Augustinian Monastery, the neo-gothic Town Hall at the 'Fischmarkt', surrounded by beautiful town houses. The Citadel 'Petersberg' is one of the very few castles from the Baroque period, which to a large extent has been preserved.
