After extensive renovation works, the Mercure Duesseldorf Airport hotel received the 4. star at the end of December 2007. It belongs now to the hotels of the first-class category.
The year 2007 was the year of renovations: all public areas (restaurant, hotel bar, lobby, front desk) were refurbished, as well as all 119 guest rooms. Further, all 7 meeting rooms were rebuild.

Business rooms: Along with the renovation, the hotel created a new room category: the business rooms on a separate upper floor. These rooms are especially designed for the needs of business travellers. The business category offers additional amenities like bathrobe, coffee & tea maker set. Further are wireless internet connection, parking and 2 items from the mini bar free of charge.

The business rooms are available for a surcharge of 12,00 € to the regular standard room booking.
