From the underground station Residenzstraße (U8 line, 400 m from the hotel) you can get to the Alexanderplatz, home of Berlin's tallest television tower (365 m). Here the Telecafé offers a breath- taking view of the city. The café, which rotates on its own axis, takes 30 minutes to go round.

The Zoological Garden, one of the largest in the World, is among the most important sights in the city. One of the Germany's first zoos, it was opened in 1844. The aquarium i one of the largest in the world and has the largest number of species of any in Europe. Biotopes have been created for sharks, piranhas and the fish of the coral reefs.
