Hamburg

Hamburg is always worth a visit. Historic buildings such as the St. Michaelis church, locally known as “Michel”, or the famous town hall are impressive sights. The town hall actually looks more like a palace, with its breathtaking façade , its 647 pompous halls and its close proximity to the Inner Alster.
Taking a boat trip along the Alster, allows you to enjoy Hamburg and its old warehouse district from a different angle. The Miniature Wunderland is a true highlight in Hamburg and an experience that speaks directly into the hearts of railway fans and families with children. And every Sunday, locals and tourists wake up early to experience the market criers at the renowned Hamburg Fish market.
Hamburg is also a great destination for anyone who enjoys a good musical. The Lion King and Tarzan are only two examples of the many world-class musicals that are performed in the Hanseatic city. A couple of times each year, the cruise liner Queen Mary 2. docks at the Hamburg port and attracts curious onlookers who, for a brief moment, enjoy the charm of the golden 20s and dream of places far away.
A sightseeing tour on a bus through Hamburg is an excellent way to discover the greener parts of the city, view its countless landmarks, and also get to know the Reeperbahn. But of course a late-night visit to this area can be even more exciting.
